Soon Studios is the brainchild and passion project of Shonuff Marketing (shonuff), Reengineered Finance LLC (TangleAccountant) and Unchained Tech (adam_unchained). A P2E gaming studio, Soon Studios is dedicated to the creation of the most kick-ass, addictive, non-stop gaming experiences that leverage the eye-popping artistry and designs of the Soonaverse brand characters, NFTs, and platform.
Wen the F*** did you guys have time to do this?
Since the earliest stages of development of our Soonanauts and Aliens we’ve been working towards this moment. Where you saw INSANE designs that you wanted to buy as NFTs, we saw entire worlds of characters that we wanted to explore through games. The storyline of the Soonanauts and Aliens and their quest to crush FEEs was just the beginning, there’s so much opportunity here to tell the tales of IOTA, Shimmer, Assembly, and the Soonaverse through the format of gaming. We’re going to kick, shoot, jump, fly, uppercut, blast, and LASER EFFEN CANNON our way through the bubble my frens. This is how we scale.
How are you making this happen?
For months Shonuff Marketing has been cultivating a network of world class designers to build the visual worlds we’ll be exploring through Soon Studios. Paired with some of the best indie game design studios in the world (no we aren’t going to tell you who, you IP stealing bastards) we’ve already embarked on the journey of creating our very first game currently in production and scheduled for release SOON.
We could spend the next few paragraphs talking to you about the innovative technology being built into the service module, but we have Unchained Tech, so that should be obvious. We could brag about the cutting edge game design, P2E, and Tokenomics, but we have TangleAccountant, so DUH. Instead of promises, promises, promises, let’s just cut to the chase and SHOW YOU THE GAME. Introducing…ESCAPE from PLANET FEE!
Game Information
The game follows SoonMan and friends after they get sucked through a wormhole and crash land on Planet Fee. With a broken down spaceship and little resources, the team realizes they need to start building from scratch. Mining and gardening quickly ensue to collect supplies.
It doesn’t take a long time before they realize they aren’t alone. FEE monsters begin raiding the camp. To combat this threat, the team begins to assemble a group of Warriors that are used to fight off the FEE monsters. But that’s not the only threat. Turns out the wormhole has been transporting beings from all over the universe to Planet Fee and are working on establishing their societies.
Most all these communities are civil and willing to engage in commerce. But some are ruthless and will invade camps looking to battle and take away your resources. Luckily, your team of Warriors have been training and are always ready to fight!
Basics
The goal of the game is to craft complex items and develop Warriors by playing a series of mini games, starting businesses, and PvP battles. Anybody can play the game for free, but most of the spoils will go to those who engage in economies, level up their Warriors, and invest in their businesses through the collection of energy crystals.
Energy crystals are the in-game currency and can be earned through your business or PvP battles. Energy crystals are needed to create new Warriors and craft items. Items crafted and Warriors created become NFTs that can be sold on the marketplace.
Warriors
Every new player that begins playing the game will receive 25 Warriors in a “starter set”. There are no upfront costs to begin playing the game. Warriors from a starter set can be used to battle. The limitation is that these free Warriors, they will not be able to be traded on the NFT marketplace, and are much weaker than Warriors crafted with energy crystals.
All Warriors have traits that range from 1–100 and help increase revenue for their respective businesses. Traits and power are separate. A Food business may emphasize a certain trait while a mining business may be better suited with a different trait.
All Warriors have different levels of power, but there’s one type of Warrior with the most power and earning potential: The Ultra Warrior. Ultra Warriors are guaranteed to have the highest power level meaning they’re better in battle and can make your businesses the most efficient. Additionally, Ultra Warriors will have higher level traits.
All Soonanauts and Aliens from the SoonLabs OG NFT collection can be used to create an Ultra Warrior in the game. A huge value to OG Soonanaut and Alien NFT hodlers.
Land
In the game there’s tons of different items that can be crafted, but only items generated on NFT land plots will be able to be sold on the NFT marketplace. Players can create businesses around crafting certain types of items and will be able to sell them to those who need them. This can be anything from Food to Mined Materials to Relics. This will create an economy of goods and players can focus on the most profitable business models where they see resources being underrepresented. All items crafted can then be bought on the marketplace.
There will be plenty of regular land plots, but there’s a special type of land that will make every business established on it more efficient causing more revenue to be generated on it. These are called Ultra Land Plots. All Artifacts from the SoonLabs OG NFT collection can be used to create Ultra Land Plots in the game. An amazing bonus for OG Artifact NFT hodlers.
Businesses built on top of land plots become even more profitable when you attach a Warrior to it. If the Warrior’s traits match up well with the type of business then a revenue bonus is added. Attaching a Warrior to a land plot will lock it in while it’s being used in the business.
Mini Games
Mini games are how items are generated that can later be crafted into Warriors and more powerful items that will help them advance through the game.
Gizmos are advanced tools that allow players to mine the land faster. They also allow more difficult surfaces to be mined. Gizmo generation happens in a mini game similar to 2048. Tiles are in a 4x4 formation and as basic Gizmos pop up, you must slide the board in one direction. When two of the same Gizmos hit each other, they combine to make the next level of Gizmo. The player will continually slide the board until there are no moves left. The player then receives the highest level of Gizmo in their carrier.
The Jewel crafting mini game involves taking Jewels that have already been mined and combining them together to make a more sturdy and durable Jewel. Jewels can be combined with Gizmos to mega charge them and make them even more efficient. The game involves a feeder of Jewels and the player needs to strategically place them on the board to get them connected.
Food is needed to feed your Warriors. The objective of the Food mini game is to touch any Food that is directly next to another one of the type.. The player can group in larger increments if they’re all touching. The larger the Food connection, the larger the bonus. If an entire row is cleared then a new row appears.
The Relic mini game follows the same rules as the Food mini game, except the connections and synergies matter more. Relics that are fused together create possibilities to form different types of unique powers for Warriors.
More mini games will continue to be introduced as gameplay advances and becomes more complex
PvP Battles
There is a lot of strategy involved in PvP battles. Players need to build the strongest set of Warriors that they believe will lead them to victory. The battle itself happens quickly, so the player will need to be able to think on their feet and make all the right moves. There are 3 tracks that you can attack on, so the player’s strategy may be to heavily focus on a single track while coming up with defensive tactics for the other tracks.
Players will need to occasionally engage in battles to defend their land and resources from FEE monsters. They can also seek out other societies and wager SMR tokens if they believe their set of Warriors can defeat them in ranked battle.
PvP battles can be either ranked or unranked. Ranked battles are against an opponent near your Titanic rating. This rating increases or decreases based on the number of wins or losses a player has. Unranked matches, on the other hand, do not affect Titanic rating and don’t require a wager.
Tokenomics
There are two tokens in the Escape from Planet Fee universe. Energy crystals ($CRYSTAL) and the Escape Token $ESCP. Energy crystals are the in-game currency that drive economies. The Escape Token is the governance token where all of the value from in-game purchases are accrued.
Energy Crystals ($CRYSTAL)
Energy crystals are used to create Warriors and craft items. The Warriors and items created in the game are NFTs that can be sold on the NFT marketplace. Players can buy energy crystals with SMR. The SMR used to purchase energy crystals will be distributed as follows:
- 20% to the Soonaverse vault to buy back $SOON on the open market and distribute it to $SOON token stakers.
- 80% to the Escape vault to buy back $ESCP on the open market and distribute it to ESCP token stakers.
When energy crystals are used for in-game purchases, it’s automatically burned, reducing the total token supply.
The initial token supply of $CRYSTAL will be 10,000,000. Half of the supply will be distributed to SoonLabs OG NFT holders (NF3 multipliers apply) while the other half will be reserved for in-game yield. So, again we’re constantly looking for opportunities to make OG NFT hodlers benefit from the design of the game, while leaving ample room for non hodlers to create their own path towards success. The tokenomics leaves room for BOTH!
The Escape Token ($ESCP)
The Escape Token can be used for voting in governance decisions related to the game. Additionally, it can be staked to receive distributions from the Escape vault. But simply holding $ESCP isn’t enough. In order to stake, the user must hold a SoonLabs OG NFT in their wallet. For every OG NFT held, the user can stake up to 10,000 Escape Tokens.
The initial token supply of $ESCP will be 100,000,000 and the distribution is as follows:
- 10% — Airdropped to $SOON token holders
- 10% — Launchpad
- 20% — Core Contributors
- 25% — Treasury
- 35% — Community Adoption Incentives
